SHANNON C. MCKINLEY | OF COUNSEL

Shannon Cody McKinley litigates complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts, with extensive experience handling all stages of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal. Over the past decade, she has represented financial institutions, investors, and private clients in high stakes matters, and leverages her breadth of experience to advance her clients’ business objectives through strategic advocacy and efficient resolution.

Shannon began her career representing lenders and servicers in mortgage foreclosure actions and now represents investors and defendants in complex litigation, including contested foreclosure matters and related commercial disputes. She has successfully litigated claims arising under the Foreclosure Abuse Prevention Act and other statutory and common law claims and has obtained multiple successful decisions in the Appellate Division. She has also resolved hundreds of matters on favorable terms and has extensive experience managing complex motion practice and appeals in both trial and appellate courts.

Her experience on both sides of litigation provides her with a distinct strategic advantage in evaluating risk, developing case strategy, and negotiating effective outcomes.

Shannon is admitted to practice in New York and Illinois, as well as in the United States District Court and Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
