KIANA MEHANIAN | LEGAL ANALYST

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Kiana graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Comparative Literature, earning a place on the Dean’s List for every eligible semester. Upon graduation, she was awarded summa cum laude and inducted into the Columbia College Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

In her time at Columbia, Kiana was a staff writer for the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review, where she authored long-form articles on contemporary legal issues, honing the ability to distill complex case narratives into persuasive legal analysis. She also served on the executive board of Columbia’s Amnesty International chapter, where she led a year-long campaign addressing gender-based violence on both the local and global scale. As part of this work, she spoke on Capitol Hill at a congressional briefing advocating against human rights abuses within Iran’s judicial system.

As a Legal Analyst for Balestriere, Kiana seeks to apply her growing foundation in trial practice and litigation strategy to a legal career in international law. She aspires to attend law school in the near future.
