Jill graduated summa cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, concentrating in Politics and Human Rights. She was the sole recipient of the college’s Gold Key Award, selected by faculty in recognition of her academic excellence and intellectual independence.

During her time at Marymount Manhattan, Jill served as a Policy Intern and UN Liaison with the Dominican Leadership Conference, an NGO at the United Nations. In that role, she represented the organization at UN floor debates, prepared policy briefings and comparative legal analyses, and researched issues involving Indigenous, migrant, and women's rights. She also led the organization’s digital advocacy efforts surrounding COP27. Her academic research on media-driven shifts in public attitudes was selected for presentation at the New York State Political Science Association Conference, where she defended her methodology before a panel of experts.

Jill has remained active in human rights advocacy through Amnesty International and the New York Civil Liberties Union’s Immigrant Justice Working Group, where she participates in urgent action campaigns and helps facilitate “Know Your Rights” initiatives for immigrant communities. 

Through her research, advocacy, and professional experience, she has developed a strong interest in international law and human rights.
